At CES 2025, Samsung introduced the HW-QS700F and updated the HW-Q990F soundbars with advanced AI integration, Eclipsa Audio support, and more sophisticated designs to provide a superior home audio experience.

During CES 2025, Samsung Electronics unveiled two new soundbars: the HW-QS700F and the revamped HW-Q990F. The HW-QS700F and HW-Q990F soundbars are developed to provide superior home audio experiences through advanced features and sophisticated designs.

HW-QS700F Soundbar

The HW-QS700F is a versatile soundbar that can be placed on a shelf or TV stand and mounted flat against a wall beneath a television. With a built-in gyro sensor, it automatically optimizes sound according to its position, ensuring consistent audio quality regardless of where it is placed. This model comes with Samsung’s redesigned subwoofer that provides deep bass to complement the clear and dynamic sound profile.

HW-Q990F Soundbar

Samsung’s flagship HW-Q990F soundbar comes back in the market with tremendous improvements. With the same 11.1.4-channel configuration and support for Dolby Atmos, the Q990F boasts a subwoofer smaller than half its size but gives a more powerful performance in audio. It comes along with wireless rear satellite speakers, which provide up-firing drivers that enhance the overall experience of immersive surround sound.

Eclipsa Audio Collaboration

Samsung has joined hands with Google to support a new 3D audio standard called Eclipsa Audio. This new audio standard is to be used in delivering spatial audio experiences. All of Samsung’s 2025 TVs and soundbars, including the HW-QS700F and HW-Q990F, will feature Eclipsa Audio support, allowing creators to modify the sound data and location for even greater immersion. YouTube will also add support for Eclipsa Audio uploads later this year, making 3D audio content more accessible.

AI Integration

Samsung is infusing artificial intelligence into its soundbars to improve the quality of sound. Features like Active Voice Amplifier Pro use AI to amplify the clarity of dialogue over background noise, and Q-Symphony Pro analyzes sound in combination with Samsung TVs to deliver audio that is synchronized with the TV. The AI-driven upgrades are intended to give users a more refined and immersive listening experience.

The HW-QS700F and the HW-Q990F soundbars will have pricing and availability details announced closer to their launch dates. With these new offerings, Samsung continues to innovate in the home audio market, providing consumers with cutting-edge technology and superior sound quality.
