Tony`s Chocolonely has announced a nationwide recall of two of its well-known chocolate bars after customers claimed they found small stones in some of the products. The recalled products include the Dark Almond Sea Salt and the Everything Bar, which have been sold across the United States since February 2025.
The voluntary recall was initiated after the company received twelve complaints from customers claiming they found rocks in the bars either after the product had been opened or during the customer’s consumption of it.
The rocks had not been removed at the third-party almond harvest and processing location. Although Tony`s Chocolonely has noted that there have been no reported injuries, it has decided to act quickly to remove the product from any additional customers’ consumption to ensure consumer safety.
The chocolate bars involved in the recall were sold in both retail stores and through the company’s website. Affected batches include:
- Tony’s Chocolonely Everything Bar (6.35 oz):
- Lot Codes: 4327, 4330, 4331, M4331
- Best-By Dates: November 22, 2025, to November 26, 2025
- UPC: 850011828564, 850032676441
- Tony’s Chocolonely Dark Chocolate Almond Sea Salt (6.35 oz):

- Best-By Dates: February 28, 2026, to April 2, 2026
- UPC: 858010005641, 850011828908
The recall began after Tony’s Chocolonely received reports from non-North American customers who had found small stones medicated with the chocolate. Tony’s Chocolonely says, while unlikely to cause harm, they are requesting that customers not eat the impacted product.
Consumers who purchased the recalled chocolate bars are advised to either return them to the store for a complete refund or throw them away. If you purchased the implicated products online through the Tony’s Chocolonely website, they encourage consumers to check the lot code to see if they have purchased an impacted product and whether they can seek a refund through their site.
While stones in food products are an unlikely occurrence, the company has collaborated closely with the FDA to assist in ensuring that all impacted batches were removed from retail distribution. The recall is a part of the company’s commitment to safety and transparency, serving as a continuation of our high-quality, safe product delivery to our customers.
Tony’s Chocolonely, a brand known for ethical chocolate practices, stated the recall will not have an effect on any products of their line, and the company will continue to espouse practices as a precaution against future issues. The company fully cooperated with the FDA and provided clear instructions for customers impacted by the recall to ensure consumer safety during this incident.
For additional information, impacted customers are invited to check the Tony’s Chocolonely website, where there are specific instructions on how to determine whether their chocolate bars are affected by the recall and how to get a refund.
