The Island Tower at Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort is a contemporary wonder that combines sustainability and Polynesian culture.

It sets new standards for hospitality while providing visitors with a unique immersion into the islands’ history through its stunning views, genuine cuisine, and eco-friendly designs.

The Island Tower is a magnificent new addition to Walt Disney World’s Polynesian Village Resort. This contemporary building offers visitors a closer connection to Polynesian customs while incorporating cutting-edge environmentally friendly elements, all while keeping cultural authenticity and sustainability in mind.

The Island Tower, which is located next to the Seven Seas Lagoon, blends contemporary design with Pacific island-inspired Polynesian features.

Native Hawaiian cultural consultants helped create the design, which guarantees visitors will be able to enjoy Polynesia’s rich legacy. Hawaiian cultural advisor Kama Hopkins stated during a tower preview that “it’s our cultures that are number one here.”

Inside, visitors can find a three-dimensional painting of Moana, lush terrace gardens, and rooms with patterns reminiscent of Polynesian art.

In addition to serving traditional island fare such as Spam musubi and breadfruit tostones, the Wailulu Bar & Grill also employs eco-friendly techniques including decorating with repurposed fishing nets and running Disney’s first all-electric kitchen.

By using 30% less energy than similar resorts and integrating recycled materials into its construction, the tower is also a shining example of environmental concern. To reduce the usage of single-use plastics, Deluxe Studios even have dishwashers in each room.
