Disney World is introducing a major shift for those looking to reduce wait times. Starting January 21, the previously exclusive Lightning Lane Premier Pass will be available to all guests, not just those staying at select Disney resorts.
The Lightning Lane system includes three types of passes, Single, Multi, and Premier, available to help guests skip long lines at various popular attractions. The Premier Pass will be the most expensive and offers on-demand access to all rides in a park via Lightning Lane, and includes TRON Lightcycle/Run and Avatar Flight of Passage, among others.
Is the Premier Pass worth its price tag? That would be a huge investment. $119 to $329 per day depending on the park, after all. Those looking to enjoy some of the parks’ top rides, or during peak seasons, will find the extra cost of convenience well worth it, though – no more need to plan those return times, after all.
