The bank released a statement on Thursday saying that the employees will be held accountable for adhering to the norms of the hybrid work model at Citigroup. According to the report released by Bloomberg, the bank will monitor whether the employees are meeting the requirement of working for at least three days a week in the office.
The bank said in a statement, “We are committed to our hybrid work model and proud of the flexibility it provides our colleagues to work at least three days per week in the office and up to two days remotely. We have firm expectations for office attendance and know that the majority of our employees are compliant with their requirements.”
The statement added, “As necessary, we hold colleagues accountable for adhering to their in-office days.”
The bank will evaluate the performance and compensation of the workers based on their office attendance, according to Bloomberg. The Citi bank declined to speak further.
