LG unveiled a new electronics innovation; the Signature OLED T, a 77-inch transparent TV priced at $59,999, now available in the U.S. Discover all about its distinctive style and characteristics.
The innovative 77-inch transparent LG Signature OLED T television that will change the face of home entertainment has finally been released. This high-end display, priced at $59,999, is currently available in the US from a few shops, including Best Buy, Video & Audio Center, and LG’s own website.
The OLED T, as unveiled at CES 2024, has two modes: one is the opaque mode of a normal viewing experience and the other is the transparent mode, where the screen is nearly invisible with a clear view of the area behind. This double functionality removes the obtrusive presence of a big black screen when not in use, so the TV blends with any living area.
The OLED T is bundled with unique software features, including:
T-Objet: It’s an Always-On-Display mode that makes the screen become a transparent digital canvas to display artwork, videos, or photos in superior color and clarity.
T-Bar: A slim information ticker that runs along the bottom edge of the screen, showing live updates on sports results, IoT device status, weather forecasts, or song titles, while still maintaining a clear view of the space behind the display.
T-Home: User-friendly interface that provides a clear overview of services available, and fast access to apps, settings, and other features.
In addition, the wireless connectivity of the TV takes advantage of LG’s Zero Connect Box, which prevents unsightly cables and thereby maintains a clean, minimalist look.
The first sale of the OLED T is expected to be made at a Video & Audio Center gala, with the product being exclusive and bespoke. Given its high price and uniqueness, the OLED T is positioned as a luxury product for consumers who are looking for the latest technology that fits well with sophisticated interior design.
