MSC Cruises will start its first Alaskan voyages in 2026, round-trip from Seattle. The voyages will offer the possibility to see Alaska’s breath-taking landscapes, from spotting wildlife to adventurous excursions.
The cruise line is expected to break into the Alaskan cruise market in 2026 when MSC Cruises enters the region for the first time.
MSC Poesia, with a capacity to carry 2,592 passengers, will start her May itineraries from Seattle, Washington, and bring guests to Alaska’s magnificent landscapes and wildlife.
Guests around the world tell us they want to experience the majesty of Alaska for themselves, and that’s exactly what these itineraries offer ,” said Lynn Torrent, Executive Vice President and Chief Commercial Officer of MSC Cruises USA.
Seattle is going to be the brand’s fifth U.S. homeport, she added, expanding its footprint in North America.
The seven-night itinerary of the MSC Poesia will take it through Vancouver, Canada, to other popular Alaskan destination sites, including Juneau, Ketchikan, and Icy Strait Point.
The traveler will find breathtaking views of snow capped mountains and glimpses of bald eagles as well as other wildlife species. Adventure activities such as ziplining, ATV riding, and whale watching would be offered by MSC.
These new Alaskan cruises are an alternative that’s affordable for customers who want to see a taste of the untamed splendor of the Last Frontier. Reservations started at $799 per person.
A combination of Europe’s luxury and Alaska, MSC is sure to open up some exciting possibilities by entering the Alaskan markets.
