Why I Took My Son to an Adults-Only Resort

A trip to an adult-only resort with my son? This is what happened.

My son and I never knew what we were expecting while planning our first trip together as adults to Sandals, St. Vincent, and the Grenadines, but that wasn’t our story. This proved to be one of the closest family experiences on our journey.

The resort was breathtakingly beautiful, situated between lush mountain ranges and crystal-clear lakes. It was immediately apparent on our arrival that it was meant for anyone looking to relax in style; it was not designed for couples alone.

Though I enjoyed the ride of my bike on this scenic property, my child loved the adventure of snorkeling, kayaking, and discovering water channels.

Mealtimes turned into yet another event. At Buccan, where the friendly personnel made us feel completely at home, we savored delicious, fresh Vincentian food. The finest aspect?

Nearly everything was covered; there were no additional costs for activities, so it was simple to enjoy each moment without thinking about how much it would cost.

The only drawback? In many cases, it’s hard to book rooms with separate beds because most are made for couples.

This could change soon, however, since Sandals recently expanded its options for families and buddy groups.

Sandals is the epitome of a stress-free, luxurious vacation for anyone seeking one. The experience depends on what you make of it, whether traveling with friends, family, or a partner. For us, it was a wonderful trip.
