Flights were halted but no passengers were hurt after a minor incident at Boston Logan International Airport between an American Airlines and a Frontier Airlines aircraft.

Both airlines have apologized for the inconvenience and officials confirm that the incident happened at a low speed.

An American Airlines airplane and a Frontier Airlines aircraft clipped wings on the tarmac at Terminal E at Boston Logan International Airport on Monday, creating a tense situation. Thankfully, neither flight’s crew nor passengers were reported injured.

The event happened when an American Airlines jet was coming into its gate after landing from London’s Heathrow Airport. The plane collided with a parked Frontier Airlines aircraft that was getting ready to take off for Dallas.

According to Frontier Airlines, “200 passengers were on board at the time of the incident.” “Neither passengers nor crew members were reported injured.”

In a similar vein, American Airlines verified that the aircraft was taken out of service for maintenance inspection and that every passenger exited safely.

The organization in charge of Boston Logan, Massport, stressed that the collision was small and occurred at a leisurely speed.

According to a spokeswoman, “no injuries were reported, and there was no significant disruption to airport operations.”

Both airlines apologized to the impacted passengers for any inconvenience the incident may have caused.

Even though these kinds of crashes are uncommon, they serve as a reminder of how crucial safety procedures are when flying on crowded airport tarmacs.

Later in the day, regular operations resumed after passengers on the affected aircraft were securely re-accommodated.
